To all the unknown Americans who fought and died for the ideals that this country was founded on... we give "A Last Salute".

To the brave men of the 79th Highlanders a final hurrah! My son is a reenactor for a regiment of the 79th here in Portland Oregon.

They looked upon their flag with the utmost respect... they stood in lines to volunteer their lives for their loved ones freedom... they fought battles for causes that they believed in, and never faltered... some of them returned home to their friends and family, and some of them were laid to rest on the battlefields. They should never be forgotten... and their memories should be honored and respected. If not for them, we may not be here today.... we owe them our lives.

I'm impressed with your site devoted to this important but scarred battlefield.
