To all the unknown Americans who fought and died for the ideals that this country was founded on... we give "A Last Salute".

Venezuelan Massacre

On April 11, 2002, many (unarmed) people were massacred in Venezuela when they peacefully marched towards the president's office, demanding some reforms. The ones who opened fire were criminal groups (as well as some military) sent by the Venezuelan government in order to terrorize the population and make them give up their peaceful demands. This message is to let the world know about this unprovoked mass killing of innocent people (at least 121 dead), most of which were women and children. Several of these people were from Europe or direct descendants of European people. Right now, in Venezuela, we are obviously under a dictatorial government with little respect for the rights of citizens. Venezuela will not forget this massacre that took place in Caracas, April 11, 2002. We honor the memory of those who were killed so cowardly on that day. Text written by M.

Would like to see a battleground which is still "as it was" rather than a governmentally controlled one. Would be interested in assisting personnel by using my metal detector so items can be retrieved and saved so following generations can see that we will never forget.

My great great grandfather was wounded in the Ox Hill Battle. Timothy Joyner was about 41 yrs old when he and his son, John T. Joyner, joined the Confederate Army. Timothy died June 13, 1863 at his Yadkin Co NC home of the wounds.

I am very pleased to see this tribute to this important part of his life and family.

Wonderfully done web page.
