I'm a Union Reenactor in Dallas-Ft Worth, Tx. I belong to Co A, 1st US Inf Regt (recreated). We portray the original 1st US Inf Regt which fought in battles in the Western Theater or Trans Mississippi area. Really enjoyed the WebPage and submitted a question to your staff. Keep up the good work. The Civil War was this Nation's suicide attempt.

A wonderful website! It is sites like this that helps keep our history alive. I am a ture history buff, tracing our family back to the revalution. We have had a family member in every war and on both sideduring the War of Rebellion. Great job for all to enjoy.

Just wanted to say what a great job you guys have done. Very professional, very well researched. Its a damn shame, the field couldnt be saved, but you did what you could, and should be proud. Once again, a job well done, my heartfelt congradulations to all involved. Sincerely,

Rick Allen

IT is with grwat pleasure that i found you web site. Last year i was down your way and tried to find the battle field. Now i know. It is such a shame that your area is so built up, as there is so much history around there. I sometimes go to dulles airport to fix a/c for my company(air canada) so the next time i will try and stay a little longer and see what there is to see. Thanks for the site. regards gord gilhooly

Extraordinary! I studied with great interest and was most impressed by the detail and the accuracy at your web site. As a Civil War student and history buff, I can certainly recognize the effort such a work has required. I had the distinct good fortune, as a 14 year old, to meet an old gentleman who was a member of the 28th Georgia infantry. During his last eleven months of his life, I recorded much of his many experiences during the war. It has been a life long work to research and write his story. It has been a long and sometimes gruelling task due to the missing and inaccurate records of some of these battles. You have made a great effort to tell the truth and expose the facts of a much misunderstood and critical engagement. Thank you for the hours of enjoyment that I have had at your website.
